how do I fix my domain not working when using external minehut server

I have set up a minehut external server, but when I have proxy-protocol: true only the minehut server works, you can no longer connect with the domain we have, in the picture the bottom server is the minehut and the top is our external server domain, the current dns settings I have is only a a record and a srv record

I asked about this and I was told "You’ll need to have a dual proxy setup for your external domain to work" but when I asked for my details they linked google.com so I posted here

yes but the thing is I dont want to use a cname that just bring people using the domain to minehut I want minehut players to join from minehut and when players join from the domain that they wont have anything to do with minehut

If you arenr doing this you would also have issues with authentication

okay so have 1 velocity server which takes in minehut players and uses mh's auth servers, and use proxy protocol on that and configure the mh external to point to that
then use a second velocity server which takes in external players which you point the domain to
which will use the default mc auth servers
and then have both of them feed into your backend mc server(s)
hence dual proxy

and of course if you do go for it id recommend taking backups of server beforehand in case you mess up the configuration somehow

not to my knowledge
at least not without some fairly custom stuff
since the issue
is both proxy protocol and the auth
and to my knowledge there is no good solution to having multiple entrypoints each with different auth and proxy protocol settings besides the one specified
im not an expert so you could try asking people from mh communities who have actually done this before
but i am not personally aware of any more convenient method than dual proxy
which also seems like its what mh people reccomended to you
