Hi, I just started a fabric server on a google cloud VM with a handful (abt the same as hermitcraft) of vanilla+ mods and plugins, and I'm experiencing VERY painful chunk loading times. I pregenerated a 5k radius and also installed an optimization modpack with mods like lithium and ferritecore, which seemed to help a bit. Everything else is running very smooth, TPS hasnt dropped below 18 since I started last week, and MSPT peaks at around 25. Peak player count would be around 8 but im experiencing chunk loading issues even when im the only one on the server. So far I've reached the conclusion that my best solution is to switch to Paper, since I want to keep the max view distance relatively high at around 12-16, and I just wanted to check if there's an alternate solution.

ok BUT despite the cpu being a potato chip would there be noticable performance improvements if i switch to paper?

oh I was gonna download the world file and then making a new server
since i have noisium and some other world gen mods
last time i tried taking out the jar my server wouldnt start
also instead of paper im leaning more towards pupur, just bc its easier to disable things if something goes wrong, but since its a paper fork im assuming itll be more of less the same process?

i can switch it to online, I have it offline so I can join from a second computer on an offline alt but thats not too much of a concern
