so i downloaded a modpack off curseforge that i uploaded to the server but it wont start, do i need to manually only select serverside mods and export a separate zip file or does downloading off the console make it so it will work?

well looks like i got it to start by removing all the client sided mods but does anyone know what this means?

you are likely using a lower version of java
the "garbage collector" is a feature of java that gets better with the versions so its warning you about that

Yeah i checked the console and switched it to java 21 which got rid of the stuttering i was having

client side mods can either be well developed and shut themselves off when they are in a server, or not do that, causing crashes on startup
so the solution is to just remove client side mods

I tried exporting the modpack using curseforges settings for “serverside” mods but the export seemed to not include some important libraries 😭
