Hello, I recently bought a refurbished office pc to use as a server pc to run a minecraft server for me and my freinds. I got ubunt server installed on it as well as webmin and puffer panel but am not sure where to go from here. I think I will need playit.gg since I cant get a static IP but Im not sure if I should set something up on puffer panel first nor do I know how. Any help on how to finish this off would be exceptional!

This is my first time hearing about crafty so if it is better I can try it. I tried to install pterodactyl but am not well versed on Linux and couldn't get it to work. I was able to get puffer panel working and it is free unlinke AMP
also sorry to bother @Bluetick Coonhound my brain can't work
There was a method to use dyanmic ip's to host servers right?

gotcha, ptero isnt too hard once you get some of the terms but its hard if you don't have a static ip

Yea unfortunately where I live a static ip really isnt an option. I saw that playit,gg is what I could use to host by pointing towards it or something like that but I have no experience there hence why I resorted to asking for help lol
Like buy a cloud vps and run a tunnel?
@Bluetick Coonhound Tunneling?
I think so?
there was another like secondary system that just updates the ips no?
Or am I thinking of something else there

DDNS?
Get a domain and run a script to update your domain resolution
yeah that
Bluetick Coonhound
The cheapest way would be playit.gg though, no vps, no domain

So how do I set all that up on puffer?
I doubt you publically share puffer.
You just keep it on a local connection or vpn it via tailscale (free up to 3 users and 100 machines, on their free plan)

playit.gg has guides on how to do their stuff along with their own discord which is preferred as they know their stuff better than we will

Im not entirely sure what you mean by publically share puffer. Should i use something other than that or will it work?

publically share = anyone can connect that isnt on the home network
the Panel
but the servers itself can be via the playit.gg method

Ok ok I see. Do you know if I set puffer up first then work on playit.gg? Im not too sure what the order is on doing all this
