Hi, I'm in the process of searching for hosts right now, but I'm also opening to self hosting, which my friend knows. He's offered me 2 of his pcs, but I can only take one for free, since y'know, otherwise I'd be too greedy.

Both of them have 16 gigs of DDR4, one is an i7 7700, and another is a Ryzen 5 2400. Both of them have around 256 gigs of storage.

The i7 7700 should perform better, but AMD offers more options if you want to upgrade in the future.
If you choose AMD, you have the chance to choose a better processor in the future, so I would choose AMD.
And your friend is really a good person. It's hard to find such a friend these days.

Hmm, I'll try and find something better on AM4 then, thanks for the advice though, will be going with AMD.
