Part of a chunk completely dissapeared on the map

This is a custom generated map by Worldpainter btw, but the generator isn't a void one, it's the vanilla one

This chunk glitch appeared not too long ago and wasn't there when these chunks were generated

in your case, is the bedrock there? maybe was done before coreprotect was installed?

No it happened recently and after CoreProtect was installed

And I've never purged the database

Try looking at old backup and manually add the chunk back.

There is usually an error when things like this happen so I guess you can dig through your logs if you really want to figure out what happened.

Thing is it keeps happening

There are more and more of these holes of different sizes appearing

Would you know a good way of finding out what it is and preventing it from occuring again?

this kind of thing usually indicates that some plugin is messing around with world files directly

so you'd have to identify plugins that potentially do that

Towny and Coreprotect are the ones that come into mind
