Is using OVH vps or Hetzner a good or bad idea for a Minecraft server? Should I just get a dedi?

Im experienced with linux and setting up pteradactyl, budget is low just because the server is in development. I only need it to be able to run a few players with plugins

yeah i mean i would like it to be 24/7

Mmm. Expect to be paying somewhere near th $70~ monthly mark for a low power dedi, or you could use a VPS slice from any MC specific provider and yeet Linux onto it for something around $20~ a month for halfway decent dev perf.

I wouldn't go with OVH, I'd go with an MC provider that also offers VPS since they're actually willing to offer small slices at a not exorbitant rate.

If you just need a test server use hetzner
