Hello.
As the title says im looking to see what hardware will be good enough for running a dedicated minecraft server on.
Using 1.20.1 Forge with around 120mods, the biggest ones are Create with lots of addons,Regions unexplored,Bluemap and many qol ones.

Usually I get around 20-25 players daily but due to my current setup the servers starts to lag quite a bit. Usually drops around 7-10 tps even worse sometimes.
World been pre gen 30k each direction but yeah still kind bad.

Current setup i7 7820x 64gb ram 2400mhz

Budget around £600-700
Thanks in advance

My own setup
I do have some knowledge how to run Ubuntu and other stuff. Just need some guidance for the hardware needed
For a better performance all along
so 20-25 players, modded,

You'd want something in the ball park of a cpu that can do pretty great single thread rating. Like a 5950x but thats a bit expensive and overkill (plus a lot of wattage)

Forgot to mention the only parts needed will be motherboard, cpu, ram as nvme, psu and case will use current one. As psu I have a 850w corsair 80+ gold
oh thats good
what do you have for storage right now
and HDD / ssd?
Saltwater CrocodileOP
1tb nvme 990pro
Additional ssd can be added but don't really need that tbf
The thing here is that I've used hosting services in the past and beside apex every others seems to lack in power. While apex being to expensive every month
I don't think you need another
thats already great and I doubt you are reaching its full potential
