Hello, I have a Linode server(shared cpu) that I repurposed to serve Craftoria running over LGSM(no paper or spigot or such). My TPS has fallen significantly as the server grew in player size. I am looking to see what optimization I can do to make things better as it seems I am getting bodied by entity ticks(I may be wrong) . I am running JVM args from flags.sh https://spark.lucko.me/HispprF6Oa

Linode uses shit cpus
And oversells on non dedicated cpu plans iirc?
Your cpu is 30% worse than a i9-9900k and thats a relic atp especially for modded
I can try to move to a dedicated cpu, however is there a way to optimize other than that

At this point why even use linode?
The server is fair bit along the way and I have had this linode for over 10 years now. I keep resizing as per requirement. I never had a minecraft server that had so much interest before.
You can get a better and more cost effective service elsewhere

^ to echo PGDK, there’s literally 0 reasons as to why you’d use a VPS like this one for a minecraft server
