I don't really know where to ask for help cuz all google community forums are halfdead so i'll ask here.

I want to make a script for my cloud VM to start at a certain hour and also run a script inside it (to start mc server) right after starting itself, and then for it to run another inside script (shutting down mc server in order to save it) and shutdown the VM right after it at a other certain hour. So that it's ON from 9am to 3am and OFF the rest of time
I don't know how to navigate the page to get to it as i have not used google cloud at all, only other cloud services where i used the vm for 24/7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I assume you are using the free google cloud credit if you are not using te free credit I would not use Google cloud in terms of how to automate this task. For shutting the vm down you can use something like https://cloud.google.com/scheduler/docs for starting mc up on vm start you can probably use a systemctl or custom script on a cron so you start your vm up at say 8:40 am and then have a cron run at 8:55 am to start the mc server and then you have a cron run at 2:55 to shutdown the mc server and save it and then use GCP scheduler to shutdown the vm at 3:10 to ensure the mc server saved

yeah was thinking bout it and yeah i use free credits, cant affort hosting services lmao
but i need to find where to do the vm off and on thing
