Hello people, my server crashes and because of out of memory. The memory usage keeps going up in the screenshot. Spark doesn't agree.

Took a few more heapsummaries at different times after server startup, all showing almost the same memory usage but it's always increasingly more in the counter. I can provide more information for help. I'd love it if you could tell me why this happens. Thanks in advance.

Panel shows and acts on allocated ram not actual usage, spark can see actual usage and is what it shows you

Uh but it crashes after it reaches like 8.4gb

600 mb overhead most likely isnt enough, ask your provider if they cover additional overhead, if they dont reduce xmx to 6 gb or so

yeah, I had xmx at 8gb but mc was actually using 19gb because of a map plugin

that's what we switched to
It using a fuckload of ram wasn't an issue when I ran everything on baremetal, but when I give a VM 20gb of ram and minecraft is using 19.4gb of it, it's a problem lol.
