I have a neoforge 1.21.1 server running on a debian laptop, and whenever anyone outside the network tries to connect the server won't let them join, giving the getsockopt error. My network is configured with port 25565 on tcp and udp both. https://spark.lucko.me/pttTQPgYYu

saw it in the other posts
we ask those for performance issues
do you have your router port forwarding correctly
do you have UFW enabled?
if it is, is 25565 on the status when you do

ufw status gives something along the lines of
you can share the ports
if you dont share the ip

what command are you using for it

and you have the server started correct?

there's also ones with (v6) in the list

yes
i can connect to it with a device connected to the same network
but a device outside the network can't connect to the server
do you have another device thats running ubuntu/debian/linux?

its just the device running the server
every other device on the network or outside is on windows 11/10
the port forwarding tab on my network settings looks something along the lines of
original port protocol fwd to port Schedule
25565 both tcp/udp 25565 Always
