I've just started running a small server for me and a few of my friends. It's hosted on magmanode, and I made the modpack myself. About four hours into playing, one of my friends' inventory started filling up with an item called a geyser spawn egg at a crazy rate. Like, 80+ per second. I got three of these eggs every few minutes or so, but at nowhere near the speed he did. Our third friend, who was also online, wasn't affected by this at all.

First, I told skellybruh01 (the friend having the trouble) to log off and on again and see if that fixed it. It didn't. Next, I told everyone to log off so I could restart the server. That didn't work either. We logged off for the night, and I installed a couple performance mods serverside (FerriteCore and ModernFix) on the hopes that one of those would fix it, and I got skellybruh01 to log back in for a moment and check. That didn't work either, but I kinda knew that was a long shot when I tried it, anyway.

The eggs don't seem to exist in the game. They don't show up in EMI, and when you mouse over them with Mod Name Tooltips it just says they're from minecraft, but entering a command like "/clear <playername> minecraft:geyser_spawn_egg" doesn't work. Clearing the entire inventory gets rid of them for a moment, but they immediately start coming back in. It's making the game completely unplayable for skellybruh01, and I'm at a loss for how to fix this.

They seem to have some kind of functionality, because when you use them on grass or sand, the message "geysers can't be placed here" will flash across your screen. They're black and yellow, and I can't find anything on the internet referencing them, what could possibly be causing this, or how to fix it.

I'm at the end of my (very limited) knowledge, please help me.

have you tried to figure out where the mod the item is from and removing that mod?
Siamese CrocodileOP
I tried, but the mod name tooltip (a mod that displays what mod any given item is from) just says it comes from minecraft when i mouse over it, and it doesn't show up in EMI at all (EMI is a mod that displays every item in the game, vanilla and modded). I searched for geyser spawn egg, and when that yielded nothing, I searched for spawn egg and moused over all of them individually. Twice. It didn't show up there either
I've been playing for a while to see if the eggs will show up in my inventory again, but they haven't. If they only show up when he's online, could it be his client that's bugged and not the server?

i will when i get my hands on one
i cleared them out of my inventory last night and i'm starting to regret it right now

i played for a solid few hours and nothing, but they appeared after he was logged in for a minute
i'm starting to think it's his client that's bugged

update: it calls them magma cube spawn eggs in the tooltips, but i tried setting a repeating command block to just clear them from his inventory forever and it didn't work
when i tried to clear them from my inventory, it did work
hang on did i not do the block right
hmm
the only suggestion I have is the binary method
!binary

solved this: it was the Cavernous datapack, not one of the mods
My solution was deleting it
we're going to go throw all of those eggs into a lava pit
