Cant Make Anyone Server Operator on a Server running through Velocity?

hey guys! running a cobblemon server through velocity. i finally got it to work! one issue tho, if i try to make myself a Server Operator, i am immediately kicked with a "minecraft:chat_session_update" error. any ideas?

1. Don’t make anyone an Operator, instead use Luckperms.

Replace this before trying to replace Luckperms.

actually, i can use luckperms and OP on the other server that is in the proxy

You use Luckperms on ALL servers, it’s really a mandatory core mod.
It should be part of base minecraft at this stage.

oh i know. just confused on why i can add it to one server with success, but get kicked when i add it to the other
in the same proxy
