how to know if a modpack is safe / are the mods i have here safe?

you should check if the mods you downloaded is opensource

If you extra paranoied try downloading every mod One by one from https://modrinth.com

i downloaded all of them through modrinth

and they all have atleast 500k

Usually people in Modrinth notice very quickly when a modpack/mod is infected
The most time it took them to notice was a week iirc
If it’s older than than you should be fine
