hi i have a friend only server and want everyone to have access to /kill @e[type=item]
command, cause the server lags hard when theres alot of entities on the floor like netherrack or so and im not always on to do the command for them especially late at night. so how do i make everyone in the server be able to use it without op?

Use [Luckperms ](https://luckperms.net/) and assign the permission node for that command to the default group (via the LuckPerms Web Editor)
but I wouldn't recommend doing this for your usecase tbh. It could lead to many practically irreversible consequences if your friends misuse the command.
accidentally or intentionally
what type of server is this? modded (forge/neoforge/fabric)? plugins (paper/spigot)? vanilla?
There's better solutions for this issue
Cairn Terrier
There is a plugin / mod called clear lag that basically run this command every x minutes

Horrible plugin, wouldn't recommend

Do not use item sweepers or entity stackers. Those are horrible
Imagine your storage is churning through a lot of valuable items, and a sweeper suddenly comes along and removed all the items in there waiting to be processed.

It's extremely aggressive and doesn't differentiate between entities. They also make it seem as though the server's lag is caused by dropped items rather than chunk loading, poorly optimized plugins, etc. It ruins automated farms, it spams the chat, and is frankly not the best solution. Paper itself handles these things much better by default.
If @Spectacled bear isn't already using Paper (or a fork of), they should. But if they are, I think a spark report would be helpful. Especially if you can capture the lag you're describing during the spark report.

There is no need to address lag that doesn’t exist

hi sorry for not responding In a bit, didn't notice I'm pretty certain the lag comes from entities like Netherrack when alot of it is mined and left on the ground but sure I'll make a spark report,
