Should my friend increase her ram? Or is there another issue that's causing the server to lag?

The server just sometimes runs behind, these are mods she wanted but she's willing to remove some if necessary but she doesn't know what should go.

I don't need to look at the spark profile to know that a modded server running 1.6 median but 74.5 95% and 1065 max tick times is lagging because of periodic world saving
If you want to confirm, run
spark profiler --only-ticks-over 50 to only see data from ticks where the server is laggingI'm almost certain it's gonna be autosave

so how would we fix this? thank you, I'll check
Brown bear
Well If you're not that scared of the server not crashing just... don't autosave
The server will save itself when you restart
or when you run
/save-all commandwhich will save all worlds
or iirc
/save <worldname> which should save a specific worldYou could also setup a mod that just autosaves when no players are online or something
But of course if the server crashes all your progress since the last save will be lost

not sure if the server hoster seems to have an area to stop auto saving, is that something I can configure through commands
Brown bear
This is a part of the MC server
its in
server.properties somewhere I forget where because on BUkkit servers they changed itnvm I might be wrong
Damn 12 years and still not in vanilla
there's definietly a mod for it though its literally just a variable insdie the game you can change with a mod
wait no
/save-off I thinkyep that's it
just run that command and auto saving will be turned off
Not that I would recommend that over periodically auto saving when no one is online

I'll try and find a mod that auto saves, thank you
