I'm looking for a service that I can run on a VPS so that i can expose my game servers to the public without having to do a port forward on my home IP.
Basically I want some kind of playit.gg or ngrok alternative where I setup a tunnel between the game server and the external proxy, and i can connect via the domain of the external proxy + port.
Anyone have some suggestions to try?

so ive got the server and client setup. however when trying to run the client, i get this on my home server
the vps im using is an oracle vps, and ive already setup a network sec group for allowing traffic on port 2333
this is what nmaping the vps results in

this is what nmaping the vps results in
cheese@elitedeskDebian[~/frp] $: nmap -sT -p 2333 vps.domain
Starting Nmap 7.93 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2025-05-10 22:37 EDT
Nmap scan report for vps.domain (vps.ip)
Host is up (0.021s latency).
PORT STATE SERVICE

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.10 secondson my vps. the frp server is indeed running and listening on port 2333

no other firewall on the machine?
seems like neither of them are getting a response they particularly like
or did you possibly misconfigure considering you didnt send either config
@North Pacific hake or did you possibly misconfigure considering you didnt send either config
Finnish HoundOP
i will send both, gimme a sec
frpc.toml on home server

[[proxies]]
name = "bedrock-server"

localIP = "127.0.0.1"
localPort = 19132
remotePort = 19132frps.toml on vps
bindPort = 2333@North Pacific hake no other firewall on the machine?

on teh vps itself, ufw/iptables

oh also just figured id mention i seriously recommend using either some sort of vpn or tunnel OR set up token auth on frp
since no auth is as you may imagine a bad idea
