I’ve been running multiple fabric servers behind velocity for quite a while now. Some have mods, others don’t (all via fabricproxylite)

My community has decided that a hub would be the best way to go about switching servers instead of using the /server <name> command that velocity gives you.

Planning to run a pretty basic hub on paper, what plugins would you suggest for the hub server? Here are some preferable things:
- NPCs that you can click on to be connected to a server
- A handbook for each server that players can read at their discretion about the mods installed and how they work, etc.
- Player count displayed on top of NPCs (would be nice to have, not a dealbreaker)

I have near zero spigot/paper experience lol

Thanks in advance!

And from my very amateur research into them, seems like some options are serverselectorx and citizens (cmd)?

Are those two still recommended?

This also looks useful

I'd recommend fancy NPCs instead of citizens, it's kinda like a modern alternative; easier to use, less performance heavy, etc.

Yeah that was what I was worried about, popular choices might not be the best
Thank you, will look into it

I was expecting PAPI, is there a major difference somewhere?

Well yes one supports proxys and one doesn't :KEKW:
Also, PAPI is kinda jank to work with (just my opinion)

That’s fair

I now officially respect bisect slightly more than apex:KEKW:
They are sponsoring pterodactyl :sip:
Also, would deluxemenus be a good choice for handbook, or is there a better option out there (probably is)

Interesting thought that expansion only used to work for bungee, anyways, what I meant was more that Papi runs only on Spigot while miniplaceholders supports paper & velocity (as well as fabric, which could be interesting for him i suppose)

Connecticut Warbler
apex's parent company literally owns multicraft, the panel that they use
so makes sense
Bluetick CoonhoundOP
are pelican eggs recommended
I've just realized after installing pterodactyl that there are no fabric eggs
