Hi! I'm paying for a host that provides me with a Pterodactyl server that has 8GB of ram, on which I control my Fabric server with mods. I tried to use Aikar's flags (with the same Xms and Xmx) and the server kept using more than that ram, even if I set the server to 7gb and leave 1gb for the pterodactyl OS. The automatic restarts due to lack of ram were consistent.
My question is: Is it possible to use Aikar's flags having for example a lower Xms (for example assign 1gb) to Xmx assigning the maximum (for example 7gb)? Would it be efficient? If not, what other flags should I use?

Not familiar with them. You could contact support and ask for RAM overhead to run Aikars properly, most good hosts will help.

Yeah sure, i can ask them for more ram and things like that, they have pretty good support, i want to know if i should add more ram to run those flags the 'intended way' or if i simply lower xms it will work the same

You could lower RAM, but honestly 6 gigs is eh, it’ll work but to get the extra from the SP.
