I was able to portforward back in the day and people were able to join my server. As soon as I switched to Ethernet no one could join my server. Do I have to redo the portforwarding?

It sounds like your router assigned a new internal IP address to your device once you connected via ethernet. It would be wise to go into your router settings and make sure the port is forwarded to the correct internal IP 👍
