Unfortunately my friend is the one who chooses the modpack for everyone, we're currently playing [Cottage Witch Recast](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cottage-witch-recast) with a few mod changes (additions/removals) my friend made. So I can't control what version we end up playing on unless I can get every one of the mods we use with 1.20.1+ version

the only thing i can say is the dreaded hybrids but i dont recommended those even for these scenarios

mmmm, No. Ftbranks is way more txt based then lps guis
they have a method of creating custom ranks and prefixes via their own config file. thankfully you can reload this config and it updates instantly 99% of the time

so use LP for permissions but Ftbranks for prefixes

ftbranks works for permissions too

ftbranks grabs way more permissions then lp does from its lp tree
and it lists them out in a nice Readme in the ftbranks file (its inside world/serverconfig)
