I havent done this in a while. I had an existing server to share the project with but I am unsure where a good place is that can help find people interested in the ideas we have. I have only really advertised after the server was made, I am hoping to get a small community going before it is released this time around!

Do what other game developers do
Build hype, pitch the game features, make a cinematic trailer, show sneak peaks, build a good website, etc

that would definitely help building hype
you just really have to rely on previewing content and making videos
hell, a dev log blog that's very SEO friendly would be a good method as well
