Doing plugin dev and recorded a full dev session, noticed that nearly 1/6th of my time was spent sitting and waiting for the server to restart. Even if it was only like 20-30 seconds per restart it still contributed a decent amount over a long period of time. Looking into hot reloading solutions that I can use in pterodactyl panel. I currently have a script that: Builds the jar, uploads via sftp to the ptero and restarts it, this whole process takes around 1 minute, with half of that waiting for the startup.

I'm aware of Plugman but I've been advised not to use it. Any other suggestions

Use a remote debugger connection and the Jetbrains JDK that comes with DCEVM

dont really like jetbrains lmao, im using vscode for my java dev
too much stuff going in there, I don't really require linting or any of that java automation
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

tbh why are your servers taking so long to restart?
my dev server restarts in ~6 seconds
Most of my time is spent dragging the plugin to the plugins folder lol
