Putting Existing Server In A Docker Container

call me what you will, I haven't been using docker. I've had the server on a device on its own, but i feel like running it on docker is just an important thing in general. How would I go about moving the server into docker. The server consists of a paper backend, and a velocity front end. I'm completely new to docker, and hope you all can help me out.
