Scoreboard flickers with a lot of players

id guess this is the client having a delay between removing scoreboard entries and adding new ones, so it'd be a problem with the scoreboard mod

an "easy" fix would be making it refresh less often

I ended up solving this issue.

it now draws the scoreboard from scratch less often.

Only has the visual effect when a player joins the server
