So I don't know much about the advantages and disadvantages of the many Anticheat solutions out there. I know there are some big names like Matrix, Vulcan, Grim, etc. And I know that some are paid and fantastic out of the box, some are free and decent, and some are shit with default configuration but after applying a custom configuration can be excellent. I also know that some folks run more than one concurrently, and that somehow improves efficacy in some circumstances.

My questions are these:

1. With price not being (much of) a factor, what is the best AC engine to use currently?
2. What makes it superior to others?
3. How does one configure an AC correctly? Do I need to have a hack client to manually test?
4. Is there any merit in purchasing an AC config from someone?

Personally I think Spartan is very good, and I paid for it many years ago. Relatively recently Spartan devs posted a YT video comparing themselves to Vulcan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUUHVwANU8k
However with that being said, it was recently bought out by some Russian bigot

I have vulcan and works without much issues, ive heard grim was also good for a free standpoint

honestly all I know is what I’ve said, I purchased Spartan what feels like a decade ago and haven’t played much Minecraft since then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wouldn’t be surprised though

Honestly, I'm not spending the money on it, and my client really only cares about efficacy. If Spartan is the best, then Spartan is what we're gonna use.

And it sure does seem like Spartan is the frontrunning by a mile.

I'm seeing a lot of discussions on admincraft recently about Spartan catching fucking EVERYTHING, but also having a shitload of false positives.

Many people are saying that Vulcan is a softer-touch (and not run by a douchebag). And since the server I'm working on has a large staff team, I suspect Vulcan might be a better approach for us.

Thoughts?

I would say Vulcan is comparable at least based on Spartan’s own video

Based on what I've heard, Polar if cost isn't a problem, otherwise Vulcan for PvP and Grim for movement checks
Purely based on what other people have said, I don't run into many hackers and I don't know what kind of hacks the new premium cheat clients have
