mb for no logs since my players are asleep, anyways, my modpack got this problem where on certain devices it'll just permanently freeze and not boot up mc at all, even when being given more ram and nothing else is open at all, like tf?? but the modpack works on other systems just fine, only thing that I'm finding common is that these players don't have a discrete gpu but the players who can play have a discrete gpu
forge 1.20.1 btw, 178 mods so it's pretty big

I'd bet money that the affected players are using the wrong version of Java.
Forge 1.20.1 wants exactly Java 17, so if they're on Java 21, strange things like this can happen. If so, the first 20 or so lines of the log will have a line mentioning compatibility mode being set to Java 17.
If so, have them all downgrade to Java 17. The issue will likely go away.

yeah sure, I'll try and make them do that, but do you have any other solutions in case that doesn't work?
Asian black bear
Try that first, we don't even have any logs or anything to go off of 😂

Without logs, no. None. But that's such a common issue, I'm willing to guess on nothing more than a hunch. If the hunch is wrong, come back with logs. Data is king.
