What kind of specs does ur server have?
HighlanderOP
its a dedicated server with 9700k cpu and 32gb ddr3 I think at 2133mt/s

And how many players were on that server at that time?
HighlanderOP
running off an NVME ssd
2
running more than 2 players starts to dramatically increase lag, but i cant get any of my friends to test rn

Did you start the server when spark started? Because the tps at the start of the profiler looks a lot like server start. And then at the end it is okay imo.
HighlanderOP
It says it started when the server starts. Im running a 5 minute bench rn with the /spark profiler start --timeout 300. It always seems to look normal until the end when I look at it in the profiler, but in game the TPS dips to around 10 with MSTP over 100 with more than 3 players

😄 thats issue 1

and you have a lot of entities for 3 players or something
image.png
lag is probably due to the simulation of those as player count goes up
and some shitty plugin/datapack is executing a lot of commands

@Highlander running off an NVME ssd
Bluetick Coonhound
do you pregen
if you dont know what that is, then you probably dont, and you should
@Bluetick Coonhound 😄 thats issue 1
you missed a VERY glaring issue

@Highlander if you lower the view distance and sim distance to like 10 all your problems will be solved 😭
never set it this high Ever, no cpu in the world can handle that
HighlanderOP
Truthfully it was never an issue before I installed some datapacks. I’m trying to figure out which datapack now is adding ticks looking for entities
lower the view distance either way
the way mc works with this is
even if you have a lower view distance then the server. itll always be rendering that 48 for EVERY player on the server
ae its loading 48^2 which is 2304 chunks in a square pattern. or 16^2 which is 256 blocks per chunk. total block count is 589824 blocks PER person
at a 2d level, not even counting the Y level
you are loading over 1m blocks per player on that view distance :pain:

please 🙏
lower the view distance
HighlanderOP
That entities line, is where most of the lag is coming from, some shitty datapack I added a while ago is causing it and I’m trying to figure out which one
