Can anyone share their opinions on what a guy should study to be better suited for administration and hosting, in the realm of MC? I am enjoying my experience with my home lab and I'm eager to go deeper down this shi--rabbit hole.
My loose list of considerations are:
-PHP
-yml
-Docker
-Practical application of secure WAN tech(SSL, VPN, proxy etc)
-Better understanding of linux i.e. file structures, best practices, etc(my distro in use is Ubuntu headless but I am not beholden to any OS)
-Moar virtualization
-Java?
I have a fair bit of experience/exposure to networking and I understand basic concepts. I'm ignorant to practical application of virtualization of networking roles.

I want to add this to my portfolio and eventually work into an sys admin role.
well for modded i can tell you that, no amount of studying can really help you (other then like learning java itself) to fix errors and patch them
just takes actual experience dealing with error logs and etc

And if I am able to make extra scratch on the side, via MC specifically, I'm gonna be there for it. lol

But for side gigs type thing, I do not know what the going rate is, to legitimately answer.
Yes, for an actual job. But I do plan to play in the community as much as I can, when I have the relevant brainpower lol
