I'm currently hosting a java server with only performance mods and would like to set up Geyser to allow Bedrock players to join as well, but I do not have a dedicated ip address and have been using a subdomain to have players able to consistently join. Is there a way to set Geyser up to a subdomain instead of a changing ip address?
So it sounds like your question is about giving your server a consistent way to connect, rather than anything to do with Geyser. Is that correct?

I have a consistent way for Java players to connect thru a subdomain, I'm asking if it's possible to set Geyser up to have a consistent connection method if I don't have a dedicated ip
@Tamz if you wanna use a subdomain, you need to use an A record vs Srv records
West African CrocodileOP
okay, what are A records and Srv records?
oh
oh boy
@West African Crocodile okay, what are A records and Srv records?
do you use a server host for your subdomains?
West African CrocodileOP
yes, it's a Kinetic server
:YEP: youd wanna ask kinetic on how youd be able to do that
i thought you had access to a domain vs provided sub domains
West African CrocodileOP
ah, they told me they had no clue
:bruhhh:
welp then there is no real way to do it without having access to the domain then
West African CrocodileOP
alrighty, so "not feasible" ?
yeah
you Could get a domain for like 11$ a year with cloudflare
and then setup ur own domains without extra charge
West African CrocodileOP
