I run a Forge modded server and my player count went over manageable limit of 3 (equal to my braincell count). For context, I run a server in Russia, where for known reasons xbox accounts are non-functional. Thus, I need some way to protect server from breaches of sorts.

This mod was found as a solution for auth purposes: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/simple-login

Question is if I can safely turn off the whitelist with it on? And what other security tools do I need?

From what I can see, this mod is vulnerable to copying someone's UUID hash
So yeah, sad bc I can't have 3-rd party to do auth

I do know that It just checks if players names match a list

For servers that can’t access auth servers you have the option of a login mod, or you can run your own auth servers locally.
Connecticut Warbler
scanners have player lists of anyone who has joined
Anything else that might help?

None of the official methods work for servers in offline mode.
So you’ll want to google how to do login mods.
