Player on my server had his house burn from the top down. There is a campfire on top, but otherwise no fire source. Snowy Taiga, not caused by lightening strike, lava, or intentionally placed fire. The house was built in version 1.20.6, we have since updated to the newest version of minecraft.
Going off the assumption that the players aren't responsible, what other possibilities exist?

Unfortunately, as it is only for close friends, so I didn't have any logging plugins installed. The whitelist is enforced, and is functioning correctly

No
lightning couldve struck
but that isnt possible in snow iirc

install logging plugins so you wont have to see next time lol

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but there is only 4 of us, and none of us have that type of humour. We fool around, but we never permanently mark anothers building
However, it is true that the simplest answer is usually correct
There might be a hidden reason someone wanted the server rolled back.... I don't know. It is unlikely though
we live and we learn
we lived in it, now we learn from it
get logging plugins to figure out who couldve done this and not inspector the players lol

Servers hardware isn't exactly the greatest 😭 I want to save as much bandwidth for the game itself
Besides, it won't tell me what happened in this case :(
do you run it locally?
Black-throated Blue WarblerOP
Yeah self hosted
it could tell you that the players Didnt do it
@Black-throated Blue Warbler Yeah self hosted
limited bandwith?
Black-throated Blue WarblerOP
Wrong word maybe. Limited system resources
Its a really old computer
Old desktop running redhat

whats limited

the logging mod only logs locally so wont do anything bad
