worked perfectly for ~3 months, didnt change any internet settings. only thing i did was upgrade the SSD.. I used macrium to clone the old drive to the new one. localhost still works. only thing ive noticed but dont know what it used to be bc i didnt check before, is that my ipv4 is the default gate way to my router. not sure if thats new or how it always was, but its not the same as the ip we've been using to connect. any thoughts as to what broke or how to fix it are welcome, thank you.

Like what networking is going on? Where are people trying to connect from?
Giant AngoraOP
it is an RL Craft server, the internet being used is ATT Fiber 1 Gbs, its a 2-in-1 router modem (BGW320)
people are local, all but one person are within a 20 minute drive of my house, the other person is a 3 hour drive, but the same state

i can DM you a pic of ipconfig /all if that helps
Ruddy Ground-Dove

You might be behind CGNAT.

bro i dont know what networking is going on
Ruddy Ground-Dove
Yeah that's fine, I do.
Go ahead and send an
ipconfig, don't need /all.You've port forwarded already, yes?
Giant AngoraOP
yes
again, it was working for a good 3 months, only thing that changed was PC hardware

In that case I'm suspecting your DHCP lease ran out. PC upgrades take a sec.
Also you don't need to DM an ipconfig.
192 ranges are all private, so they're not trackable.
But if it's not a 192, 10, or 172 range then don't be posting it publicly.

can i manually renew it?
Ruddy Ground-Dove
You don't need to, the router handles it.
Giant AngoraOP
also not sure if its relevant
its been like a week
i posted this to reddit first but didnt get anywhere so i came here
any idea on the time frame?

Anyway the port forwarding is grabbing the actual device itself instead of the IP.
Presumably it's going and poking at the MAC address.
Gateway is a little derpy though, I think I'm going to rope in @Connecticut Warbler on this.

I'm not all that familiar with how AT&T sets up their infra. Dunno if it's something they'd do poking this.
But since all you did is change a drive out I'm guessing either bad timing automatic network fuckery which doesn't look to be the case, or maybe some settings on your PC had some fuckery.
Check firewall, see if Windows gave it a lobotomy or something.
