Newbie trying to make a big survival server

Hello, i'm trying to make a modded survival server for around 100 people

Theese are my specs:
ryzen 3 3100
16gb ram 3000mhz (will become 32 eventually)
1tb nvme gen 4.0

(It's a computer that will stay on 24/24)

And i have a modpack of around 300 mods

But it looks like i can't post it here

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Are you gonna be running a pack or just a mod jar?

There’s no way you’re going to be running 100 players concurrent that’s just impossible

To be honest, I don’t think you’ll be able to do 10 without being very laggy

You have a decently old CPU and quite low RAM

It’s not bad for playing, but for hosting it’s not good

What do i need to make a server that can hold 100 ppl?

Not have a mod pack

Mainly vanilla servers or very lightly modded servers that have no mods that the client also has to download as possible. That is the best way to have that many players.

Even if i upgrade the components it wouldn't be possible?

there is ways to have “100” players, but that’s done through proxies not just one playable server

Even if you had the best CPU, the best ram the best everything the limitation is the pack itself

No pack is ever optimized to house more than roughly 30 players at one time

I know this because I tried the best I got was 45 with basically new generation specs on a 400 mods mod pack
