@Connecticut Warbler Datapacks/mods that use datapacks are your issue
SiameseOP
can you expound
@Siamese can you expound

etc
the list is really REALLLLLY long
datapacks are slow as FUCK
ideally, use none of them
like
none
mods are like 100x faster than datapacks
so your lag is from those
the first screnshot
"command function manager"
is referring to mcfunctions running
which are the scripts inside of datapacks
they're not compiled like java code
they're interpreted
which makes them excruciatingly shit for performance
and they're taking up 40% of your CPU time
SiameseOP
No other solution?
no. datapacks are bad. one or more are trashing your performance. find the one or several that are doing so and remove them. that's literally all there is to it.

I'm using datapacks because I would rather people be able to play without going through the process of installing mods but I see
yeah well, you've overdone it
also
there are server side mods
that don't require client side installation
anything a datapack can do serverside, a mod can too
check the info in the sidebar on modrinth
on the mod
and see if it says client or server
if it says server
then it doesn't have to be installed on the player's game
but this IS without a shred of doubt
the one problem
you have overdone datapacks
your one solution is un-overdo the datapacks
SiameseOP
I did have a bunch of mods installed that say client/server side but they didn't work :v
SiameseOP
Ahhhhhh
That makes sense then
SiameseOP
No sure way to tell? But generally mods that say server side means players don't need to install them?
there are a few ways
here
I'll run through em
this is from sodium

it only has effect client side
(performance)
SiameseOP
yep understood
