Howdy folks 🤠 Has anyone here successfully installed PowerNukkitX or other third-party server software on their Minecraft Bedrock server? I'm running with a remote Ubuntu 24.04 VPS server and has a game server control panel installed (Cubecoders AMP). Can't seem to find a lot of documentation out there for my situation. Any help is appreciated.
typically people just run paper with https://geysermc.org/

So, a little more info: Server - OVH VPS with 2 cores, and 4 gb RAM, and 80 gb SSD storage.OS - Ubuntu 24.04 LT. Use case: Solely for hosting Mnecraft Bedrock server with plugins. All my friends will be joining the server from their consoles (Xbox/PS). So, I prefer having a Bedrock version. I've Cubecoders AMP installed and strated a Minecraft Bedrock instance from the AMP control panel. Now trying to figure out a way to install a third-party software like PowerNukkitX or similar to get some plugins
never been a fan of nukkitx
or similar

I see
geyser & floodgate w/ paper
that's what many of us do here tbh
haven't really met anybody in the community who runs a bedrock server
(as in an actual bedrock server software)

Ah, that's also my problem, lol. Can't find lot of documentation out there because of that
Okay, I'll bite! Say, I run paper with geyser for cross platform support. Will my friends have to install anything on their consoles to join my server?
Pls forgive my apparent lack of know-how in this situation
I'm coming from Microsoft realms. I'll be in the shaming chamber, lol.
I will say, there are a few limitations with Geyser you should be aware of before deciding if to pick it or not: https://geysermc.org/wiki/geyser/current-limitations/
But it's still the recommended solution if you wish to use the wide range of Paper plugins, for Bedrock

Thank you for the link 🙂 I'm giving it a reading right now.

Since we are on the subject(s), lemme shoot my shot! Is there no way I can get any plugins installed on the Bedrock version? Or it's just not popular enough to have people worked out solutions?
With my current game control panel - Cubecoders AMP - I can start any number of instances. So, I'll start one with Paper and Geyser, for sure

Bedrock itself does not support plugins. There was a project which hooked into the BDS server itself to add plugins called BDSX, but Mojang removed the mappings from BDS that the server used and the developers weren't going to painstakingly handle every version change manually.
You can use custom servers, such as PowerNukkitX as you've linked or PMMP

I see.

But both are not full implementations of vanilla bedrock
Philippine CrocodileOP
Yeah, that was the original plan
Polish
And lack features such as AI, hunger, and other things which make them a pretty bad SMP experience
Philippine CrocodileOP
Ah, but I need those, lol.
