trying to get my server running on linx can anyone help

alright so i own a minecraft server...i have been hosting on apex for quite some time. i am trying to get my server on my pc...i have tried many many times and had success a few times but always end up with corruption

apex uses linux but i am not sure what kind

i am planning to use windows version but i am using linux because whenever i download he files wich is just shy of 18 gigs i end up with a bit of corruption in the files. when i run it in windows it just crashes out after trying to repair...when i run it on linux it will repair it but then i get this message

i have checked and i do not have anything running on the ports. i have uninstalled linux and reinstalled it i have restarted my pc just incase things were running on the ports. i have nothing on the ports. i opened them up to my firewall i have tried everything. if somone could help me would be greatly appreciated. i am in need of getting this going. i am trying to fix the lag on my server and i am planning to use my pc but i just cannot get passed this message

i have got it to work a few times but on older backups and i am trying to replicate it but it seems it just works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt

means you are likely already running another copy of the server in the background
if you are on Windows, you can verify with the command netstat -aof | findstr :19133

i am not running any copys of it though...do you know how i can check for it or something. im kinda new to linux. i am definatly not running

i will try the command rq though

one thing i left out is if i make a brand new server...it works just fine...but if i try and do my actual server i get that message everytime

Are you running the server on Windows or Linux?
And how have you setup the server so far?

i am running it on linux
basically i have taken a brand new server and copy my world folder into the brand new server

i do chmod 7777 bedrock_server and then use this command
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=. ./bedrock_server

So on Linux, the command you'd want to run instead is netstat -tlupn
You may need to install a package if your OS didn't come with net-utils installed, but it should tell you how to
That should tell you what is running on each port

only have 4 ports popping up
2 being 53
and 2 being 325
i definatly appreciate your help to btw i am at a total loss
on what to do

Then yeah, those errors are a little weird
are you able to try and start the server again, and share the full logs this time please?

So the only thing I can see which seems to get this error when there's nothing using the port is when IPv6 is disabled on the server (specifically for bedrock)
Can you run the command ip a and share the output if there is any?
(these ideally should be internal addresses, but I'll let you know if it includes a public IPv6 address and should be deleted)
(but based on the error, I don't believe you'll have a IPv6 address)

alright quick question
none of these ip adresses that show up are my adresses so i dont have any risk of showing you this right because i dont want somone else to see this if its going to give out info...i have starlink anyways so should not beable to be ddossed
but i think starlink runs off from ipv6

i appreciate it blstomo...i actually eneded up taking a screenshot and blurred out the ips...so if silent bot things that will work for them still with what it says i will send the screenshot
